Living Room

Before
After

The living room was quite a challenge! It had a cat stained parquet floor and a red brick fireplace with small sconces that were lost on the wall. The old fashioned front door made the room look even more dated. It is now a warm and inviting room.

The ugly parquet floor was sanded and bleached and then wood stained to simulate an inlaid wood “carpet.”
Walls were troweled with a warm butterscotch lime- based plaster.
Molding, door and fireplace surround were crackled and distressed.
The dated red ceramic hearth was troweled over with Quartsstone to create a solid stone look.
The fireplace topper, moldings and decorative grate were added by Beaux-Artes.
The red brick on the fireplace were painted and glazed with soft metalics.

These are just some of the many transformations done by the artists.
